Slowly, the days are getting longer again, and passed the winter in a well deserved break. Also the temperatures rise again at a comfortable 20 degrees and it is slowly time to put on your walking shoes. Especially the numerous irrigation channels are recommended for the start to the hiking season.

Recommendation: Schluderns: Leitenwaal-Bergwaal

From our hotel, it is best to go several times and then to Schluderns where you can park (may Vintschger the museum). From the parking lot you now follow the creek to road No. 18 to the excavation site Ganglegg (Bronze Age). Then keep right and follow the path Leitenwaal No.17 (available caution to the scree slopes, safety ropes) followed by 50 m to the bridge in the back Saldura Valley. On the other side of the valley along the Bergwaal valley (after 10 min nice picnic area) to the junction (right) of Edelweiss walkway. Descend along the Edelweiss climbing back to the starting point.
Walking time 3-4 hours; 275 meters.
